Andre and his diligent crew saved me from a non-performing contractor. I will create a separate review for that company so others have fair warning. Not only did the old contractor show up to work when they felt like it or not at all (after they were paid) but they cause more damage to my building with their poor craftsmanship that required a lot of effort from Andre's. Andre's crew works a solid 8 hours. Andre is on top of everything taking place at all times, in every room. He does not merely supervise and come around later. He sets the tone and he treats your house like his house. No home depot hack job here, Andre learned from the old generation but applies new time saving techniques and the results speak for themselves. Andre immediately picked up on the cheap mix and match material use by the previous contractor and restored them to match the reset of the renovations. For example, the previous contractor replaced 11 stair treads with the cheapest pine he could find and ignored instructions to match the existing oak. New windows installed by the previous contractor were straightened and corrected by Andre. His crew accomplished more in 1 week than the previous contractor did in 1 month. When I buy my next building I am calling Andre right from the start. Don't mess around if you want it done right and you want an upfront contractor and crew. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find this company, I would have been in serious trouble.

André is not a contractor, he’s an artist—and it shows by his attention to detail and finesse in everything he touches. We saw photos of a unit in our building that André did the renovations for, and after hearing from other tenants in our building that speak so highly of André and the work he’s done for them, we reached out to Vision Artisan in hopes that André would be willing to work with us. Being nervous first-time home owners, André was incredibly patient and beyond helpful at every point of the project. We engaged Andréto renovate our entire condo—everything from carpentry to plumbing and electrical. He completely transformed our kitchen and floors, painted every room in our home, replaced every light fixture, and did everything on time and keeping to our agreed upon budget. Living in NYC, you hear horror stories about contractors and renovations going south—but we can say with the utmost confidence, working with André alleviated all those fears. André is personable and professional, and we can’t give him enough praise and thanks for making our home beyond gorgeous. We contracted Vision Artisan Remodeling to renovate our single-familyhome, including two bathrooms, a kitchen, the basement, and the exterior. After reviewing several options, we decided to choose the contractor with the most experience, and that decision ended up paying off.

The project seemed very straightforward at first, but we quickly discovered numerous problems and challenges as soon as we opened walls and floors. Luckily, Andre was able to figure out a solution to every one, and made sure that his team and subcontractors never cut corners, even if it made the job more difficult. Thanks to him, we were able to execute our vision for our new home, without having to make many compromises.

The Vision Artisan team also showed great passion and personal commitment in their work, lovingly maintaining our coved ceilings, and offering advice on what features that we should keep (as Andre put it, "we're doing restoration, not renovation".) By the end of the project, we had complete faith that Andre and his team had our best interests at heart. When an insurance inspection forced us to make several repairs and installations on short notice, Andre and his team sprang into action, organizing a project plan and finding the right subcontractors to make sure that all the work was finished by the necessary deadline.
